I think Ryanair need to be careful about accusations of this sort. I am
sure that there is a case against oil companies at the moment for not
reducing prices as the cost of crude is falling but equally Ryanair is
not the worlds most consistent in terms of the pricing of flights. It
trades on the "low cost" banner, but is often more expensive than "full
price" airlines, especially when booking close to the date of travel.
During this period flights are often 200% more expensive (or more) than
they are if you can book well in advance. I wonder if BP might seek a
countersuit on Ryanair's pricing.

Ryanair does not have a monopoly. Therefore it cannot be charged with
abusing it!

Sorry to correct you, but on some routes and at some airports, it is the
only carrier and has a monopoly in that sense. Monopolies are not about
the business you are in, they are about the market.
But anyone can come along and start an airline route from A to B.
You can't just go along to an airport and install a competing supply of fuel

I don't agree with you. Airport fuel storage is often and usually the
property of the airport owner and is leased (and usually shared) by all
the fuel operators. You will note that the Belfast airport operator says
in the original release they have not changed their terms. I am sure a
competitor could easily start up if they thought it would be profitable.
Much the same as starting a new route in capital terms I would have
thought. Actually possibly cheaper.
How does that work?
The people who are "auctioning" the franchise, are the airport. The people
paying the bills are the airlines.
ISTM that the airport have a vested interest in the fuel company charging
the airlines as much as possible, not as little as possible.
