CIA swears revenge for Taliban-orchestrated attack on
operatives in Afghanistan.
In a sudden outburst of fury, the CIA has vowed to make the
Taliban pay for a deadly bomb blast, which killed seven US
spies in Afghanistan.
On Wednesday, a bomber wearing an Afghan army uniform
entered the gymnasium at the Forward Operating Base Chapman
located in the Afghan province of Khost and detonated a
device carefully hidden in his vest.
The Taliban has allegedly claimed responsibility for the
incident, which killed at least seven CIA officers and
injured six others, and has taken pride in the fact that
they were able to infiltrate the Afghan National Army
without the US military noticing.
The CIA reacted with shock and fury to the attack, believed
to be the agency's biggest single loss after eight agents
were murdered in the Beirut bombing in 1983.
A US intelligence official told news agencies on conditions
of anonymity that the agency will take whatever measure it
deems necessary to avenge the deaths of the agents.
''There are plenty of people here who are capable and
willing to make sure that these people will be avenged,'' he
noted.
"This attack will be avenged through successful, aggressive
counterterrorism operations,'' the official added.
US President Barack Obama has deplored the incident in a
letter to the CIA agency, saying that "The United States
would not be able to maintain the freedom and security that
we cherish without decades of service from the dedicated men
and women of the CIA."
"You have helped us understand the world as it is, and taken
great risks to protect our country. You have served in the
shadows, and your sacrifices have sometimes been unknown to
your fellow citizens, your friends, and even your
families,'' read the letter.

A government, of Israel, by Israel, and, for: Israel.
But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light:
for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. The light shineth in darkness;
and the darkness comprehended it not. The light of the body is the eye:
if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.
If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead,
and Christ shall give thee light. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
