testing a computer's hard memory [chip/s]
does not make the memory any better,
it just tells you if memory
is functioning properly,

which is to say, the testing
of the memory does not
effect the memory,

which is to say that,
if the memory test fails,
the test does not 'fix' the chip,

and the test has no effect
on the memory chip at all.
