3D printer - RepRap - Prusa Mendel

Hey there,

This is great, I've seen lots of people are building their own 3D printers...

I guess we could probably borrow the 3D printer from our folks in Albania to print the Printed Parts, and having the funds we need; order the other parts and build up our own 3D printer that we can use in our long awaited HackerSpace...

We don't necessarily need to have a Hackerspace to built this...
And after all if nobody is willing to donate we could do a kickstarter!

Wrong, where do you think we are going to keep it? We need a place with that and each other houses is not a good plan, we fight over wireless routers, imagine what it would be over a 3d printer.

 

And after all if nobody is willing to donate we could do a kickstarter!

Wrong, Kickstarter might be famous but it only works out if you are coming up with plan an idea that which change the world. But nobody really cares about us, poor tech enthusiast. And it also would be a problem for us to get the money as our banks are not internationally recognized.

Wrong, the website purpose is about that, right! but a lot of other tech project get help through kickstarter.
And we are not asking $1000 nor 1milion it's a $600, it could be a local contribution as well!

You need to be a us or uk based resident to create a kickstarter project.

You see Altin, we are in Kosovo. :-)

What I am trying to say is that we need to work on our bigger issues like getting things together, waking up our "community", finding a place where we all could meetup and work. Then when we have that, we can start purchasing Arduinos, Pis, 3D Printer etc etc.

You gotta eat the main plate first, don't jump right to the desert!

if i may be so bold to add on this topic. i am currently on holiday and i have come across this rather cheap 3d printer i will be buying on my way back to europe. i would be open to share with your community. In fact i could provide most of the material you need to build your own 3d printers. You are right in uk we do get the help for small business but i would let you in a secret im spanish but staying in uk.
