What do you guys think about getting together one morning or evening to test Fedora 12 and then other distros too in the future?  I have a three or something extra desktop that we could use. This could server very useful as we could give newer users the opportunity to install and re-install.

I don't know, just throwing something out there.

Well, being kind of a Fedora guy myself I like this idea. ;-) It
probably would have been good to put this earlier in the release cycle
because the beta's already been released, but those bugs will still
come in handy as Fedora heads toward the final release date. We could
easily set up similar meetings for other distros based on their
release cycle.

Our next meeting is on Saturday the 31st at 9:00am at the library.
Want to do this then?

Paul

Sounds great to me! I already coordinated with the wife.

This will be nice to learn how other distros do their thing too. I'm very familiar with RHEL, CentOS and Fedora because is what I do at work), but less familiar with Ubuntu/Debian philosophies.

Guys,

are you all up for Fedora testing this weekend? I have 3 ws that I can bring in, including monitors and a small switch. I could even set up a mrepo server to make installations easier.

Just wanna know if this is on so I can get ready.

I'm on sports dad duty Saturday morning - won't be able to make the meeting.

I'm up for anything that's fun :)
I have switches etc. to bring too. If there's interests I have some workstations I can bring too that are a bit jiffy on the stability side. They're basic server type stations, no sound, poor video cards etc. I even have an old wireless B router I can bring *grin*. Actually, I have a G one that I'm not using right now that I can bring with me, if we want to test different wireless setups.
