 QUIZ CORNER 501. (\_/)_(\_/)_(\_/)_(\_/)_(\_/)_(\_/)

A) I focus at it: What ten letter word can be found
by rearranging the letters in this anagram?

B) When a letter is added to any one of the following words that
will convert another word (in some order of the letters
will change). Find five different letters and five pairs of words
changed by them. Each letter converts two words.

Top, net, Spit, sir, tan
Real, weary, tear, ace, moan.

C) Brain Teaser: Four boys are comparing the money they have in the
currency notes of the denominations of $ 20 and $ 10. Each boy has 6
currency notes of both denominations but A has $30 more than D.
C has $ 10 more than D but $ 10 less than B though C has got the same
number of $20 notes as B.

The total number of $ 20 currency notes in their possession is
10 more than $ 10 notes.

Can you tell how much money and number of currency notes of $ 10
and $ 20 each boy is having?

Why are Chips are Called French Fries?

The name "French fries" dates back to the First World War when American
and Canadian soldiers, assisting in the liberation of Belgium, arrived in a
French-speaking part of the country and were served frietkots. As a result
they termed them as French fries though the product had no association
with France whatsoever. They are still called Vlaamse Frieten or Flemish fries
(southern Netherlands) Pommes frites, frites (French), frieten (Dutch),
patatas fritas (Spain), chips (UK). It is the national snack of Belgium and
the world’s most popular fast food.

So what makes good Belgian chips incontestably the best in the world?
Firstly, it is steeped in tradition as the Belgians were the earliest of people
that embraced the potato that was discovered by the returning 16th century
Spanish conquistadors of the Incas in South America. They regard chips
as their national treasure and have the highest annual average consumption
per person of fried potatoes of 75kg

History of women's Day
With sheer effort from women's organizations, and a little help from the
United Nations, the world has woken up to acknowledge the contribution of
women in every sphere of life. International Women's Day, which is celebrated
every year on March 8, is a relatively recent phenomenon. The United States
was the first to establish "Women's Day." On February 28, 1909, American
Socialists observed the first ever Women's Day at the national level. This
encouraged the 1910 International Women's Conference to announce an
International Women's Day. The first such event was held on March 19, 1911.
Women around the world participated in marches and demonstrations, raising
the issues of gender inequality.
