l’organisation avait dû suspendre ses distributions pendant quatre
jours.
"A long terme, les problèmes humanitaires seront très graves",

It is not an extract of an apocalyptic novel of John Brunner. It is
not a distressing futurology of an author of policy fiction of the
Seventies. It is the everyday life in these years which precede the
final fall by this cruelty that the history will retain under the name
of capitalism.
PALESTINE HUNGER
It is the second time in one week which the Agency of UNO for the
Palestinian refugees (Unrwa) is thus driven back. After having
exhausted, in the course of the day, its last liters of fuel, Unrwa
will have to stop as of this evening its distributions of food aid to
the some 1,5 million inhabitants of the Gaza Strip. At the end of
April already, the organization had had to suspend its distributions
during four days.
"In the long run, the humane problems will be very serious",
predicts the spokesman of the organization, Chris Gunness.
SOMALIA HUNGER
Reuters - there is 1 hour 13 minutes
MOGADISCIO (Reuters) - thousands of Somali expressed Monday in the
streets of Mogadiscio against the difficulties against which they run
up to buy food.
According to inhabitants', the merchants still refuse old
banknotes in circulation in Somalia.
"the tradesmen refused the old tickets. The prices of food are
raised and we do not have anything to eat. We will express until the
tradesmen accept our tickets and sell food to us ", declared at
Reuters one of the demonstrators, Hussein Abdikadir.
The course of the Somali shilling has been practically divided by
two vis-a-vis with the dollar for one year - it is today to 34.000 for
a dollar - and its spectacular devaluation would be partly related to
the abundance of tickets counterfeited by counterfeiters.
This characteristic makes even sharper the impact of the blaze of
the world levels of the supply Somalia, where several "riots of the
hunger" burst during last six months.

HUNGER BRAZIL
Brazil does not export any more rice to slow down the rise of the

France Information - 07:50
The rise of the raw materials continues to make devastations in
the whole world. The touched last: Brazil. The South American giant

1% per day. The price of rice increases by 1% per day on the large
market, according to the ministry for Agriculture. A blaze which the
Brazilian government seeks to contain. It has just decided to suspend
all rice exports, to ensure "the security of the supply during next
six to eight month".
To reassure the population, the government also will sell a part
of its reserves: 55.000 tons of rice will thus be proposed with the
biddings today.
