2007 U.S. Body Painting Festival
Moving Art - Excite Your Senses!     HALLOWEEN.....

Nick Wolfe and Brian Wolfe have unique style that has influenced face painters world wide. While working in the Disney and Universal theme parks the brothers were featured in Face Painting International Magazine and contributed to Creative Face Painting, the most comprehensive and extensive face art book to date. They drew attention from a development company that was perfecting a new make-up line.  The business changed their name to Wolfe Brothers Face Art and FX and continue to bring revolutionary products and services to the industry. Today, Nick and Brian fly around the world, promoting their products and sharing techniques and ideas with anyone who will listen. Tomorrow they hope to inspire the industry to unify and save the world through face art and FX.

Special Guest Lecturers are artist Craig Tracy owner of Painted Alive, the world's only living art gallery, and a 2006 judge at the World Body Painting Festival. Craig will lecture on the body painting process and give a slide presentation of his masterpieces. We also welcome the renowned body artist John Vargas who will conduct classes on enhancing your body art through computer techniques and how to create shadows, highlights, and folds.  Jackie Green joins us this year and will give our begining body painters a great introduction to the elements of body painting.  She will also take everyone to a new level as she will teach how to create clothing with paint.  Also we have joining us is Shawn Darling of Gryphon's Egg Productions and he will teach us his moving making techniques to create our own prosthetics along with the technique of body casting.  Wendy Barker will hold a class for our wonderful models to help them prepare to present the artwork for their artist in a very elegant and entertaining fashion.

The Festival is thrilled to include as returning instructors the internationally renowned airbrush artists, Pashur called the 'Picasso of Body Art, his site Canvas Alive includes some of the world's most stunning body art, and Mark Greenawalt whose site Future Class FX boost more imagine that on line portfolio.  With their art sought after by celebrities, and magazines alike their classes and body art presentations are not to be missed.

Along with instruction for body artists the 2007 Festival provides photographers with learning opportunities and competition.  Both Friday and Saturday provide semi and professional photographers with occasion to photograph the painted models in a studio setting, then submit photographs for competition - our categories will be Digital and Film Photograph.

The 2007 Festival's official photographers and judges are Rich Johnson renowned photographer of face and body artists throughout the U.S., Pat Berrett photographer for the U.S. Body Painting Festival Jams and award winning photographer Fenton Ayres of Desert Penguin Studios. Pat Berrett will also offer a class to help with taking photos of your creations.  He will give you the tools to create the looks for your portfolios.

The Festival is also very pleased to bring back the fabulous creations of Lorenzo Colorado and Sophia Matthews.  This is the team that created all the amazing hair, wigs, and special makeup to complete the artwork from last year. There will, however, be a charge of $25.00-$50.00 this year for their services, but I promise, it is money very well spent.

The Festival will include presentations on how to make the most from make-up and special effects products.  Not make-up just for body art, experts will sell and show how their products to meet your every day beauty make-up needs and turn your loved one into a Halloween goblin.

The Festival begins on Thursday, September 20 with classes throughout the day, then doors opens to the public as artists "jam", painting and openly share their techniques.  Friday brings another full day of classes with preliminary competition as the public is invited in for an evening of exciting stage presentations of the artwork.  Saturday has morning classes with make-up presentations for the public.  Then the public is invited back for a stage extravaganza including the judges final selections and awards presentation.  Each artist will be required two different Halloween designs for the weekend.  They will also have to provide music to display their theme when their model hits the runway.  All judging will be completed prior to the runway presentation.

We know you will be blown away with the creativity of the artists as well as the lessons you will learn from our excellent line up of instructors.
