Welcome to the first issue of the Face and Body Art International Convention Newsletter! Here you will find all the information needed to insure that the convention will be the best investment you make in 2007.

The Face and Body Art International Convention is the one industry event where a wave of creativity is fueled by the collective imagination of hundreds of artists. With all this energy gathered in one place at one time, our goal is to infuse your artistic skills with new knowledge, ideas and techniques. Once again, we are proud of hosting the best line up of instructors, the largest variety of classes  and the greatest marketplace in an atmosphere of camaraderie and exciting fun.

The dates for 2007 are Wednesday, May 23 when we open for pre-convention private classes. These classes are a unique opportunity to spend 6 hours in a small class room set up (maximum of 12 students) with one of the industry renowned Master artists. Jinny, Mark Reid, Nick and Brian Wolfe, Katie Hunt and Jackie Green head the list with others to be confirmed. These classes will be booked on a first come first serve bases at an additional $125.00 fee. We are very excited about offering a much needed class titled:  "The Basics of Building your own Web Site" as well as a free orientation and instruction class for beginner painters.

Thursday, May 24 will start at 10:00am when we open for registration. The vendors room will also open at the same time and organized jam sessions will be going on until 5:00pm. A second orientation and beginners class will  be offered at this time as well as a beginner airbrush class. Two very special guests, Emma Cammack (www.emmacammack.com) and Miss Yulia an amazing Russian painter living in Alaska will be demonstrating their unique styles and artwork in the lobby. Crazy Hair, hair extensions, nail art and live music will also be offered for your entertainment

pleasure.  At 7:00pm the fun kicks up a notch as we welcome you to the greatest gathering of face and body painters in the USA with a Brazilian Carnaval Pool Party. Wear your bathing suits and your dancing shoes and plan to mingle and meet your instructors and vendors, start networking and meet new friends.

Friday, May 25 and Saturday May 27 will be packed with classes starting at 9:00am and closing with our famous jam sessions at midnight. In the following newsletters you will have a chance to learn everything you want to know about your instructors and the classes they have so creatively planned for you.

Jinny has been part of the Face and Body Art Convention since the very beginning. Her unique and elegant painting style as well as her lovely and outgoing personality has made her one of the Face and Body Art Convention most requested instructors.

A note from the Artist herself.........

I am extremely happy to be part of the Face & Body Painting Convention 2007. I have been part of this event since the very beginning in 2001.

Being an instructor, my goal is to teach as much techniques and to share as many ideas as I can with all the attendees.

Each year, I enjoy meeting new people as well as experiencing the joyous return of familiar faces in all of my classes, so as I do every year, I will bring new ideas to share in my instruction that will help both beginner and advanced painters leave with the confidence of new skills.

Between the pre-day class on Wednesday (semi-private class) and the three other classes that I will teach during the event... I'm sure I will be able to find your interest.

From reptiles with all kinds of scales and textures, feathers & wings and the secret of highlights and shadows, I will do my best to teach you EVERYTHING you need to know!!!

I am very excited to meet each of you again as we come together, once again for this magnificent event!
