I just installed the plugin on Windows XP SP2 with FireFox 2.0.0.3. I'm seeing this too. Thought it might be a firewall issue, but disabling my firewall temporarily didn't fix it either. Other ideas?

It keeps saying that. It doesn't do it all the time, except on my wife's computer. On mine it sometimes takes a few tries.
The scanner link and control panel actually kick it offline, and I get that "Lost Connection" message. If I visit the control panel, FoxTorrent even sometimes thinks I don't have an internet connection.
I wish there was some reliable way to manage RedSwoosh. It doesn't seem as stable as clients like KazaaLite or KCEasy.
This is the only Torrent client I can get to work, because even when my router says have ports forwarded, the clients think that I don't.
Does it continue to work even with that message up there? i.e. do the peer counts and speeds etc keep updating? Perhaps it's just the message that is faulty..

Yes. Of course, now that I go to take a screenshot, it's working (grrr...). It simply shows the "Lost Connection" message up above, and the "Quick Advice" box below, upload/downloads at 0B/s, and the open Downloads folder, which doesn't work.
The second is where it shows the things that I'm downloading, but still loses connection. It was going, then it stopped: (http:// i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb34/steelcaress/foxtorrentscreen.jpg)
The third is where it shows my downloads, won't expand or collapse them, and has that annoying message. Sometimes even tells me I don't have an internet connection. The message can sometimes go away if it's showing my downloads, in which case things will start coming in.
Don't get me wrong. I like FoxTorrent. I like it a lot. It's just a headache to get things started. My wife has gone to a different client, because of the error message scenario in the first paragraph of this post.
But I think you guys have done a great job. Just more stability would be nice. In the time it's taken me to post this, Red Swoosh has started up again.
AHHHH! what does this mean! ITS SO ANNOYING! please help! lost connection to red swoosh client.lost connection to red swoosh client.lost connection to red swoosh client.lost connection to red swoosh client.
Sounds like you're freaking out there. Either the page can't talk to the client because the client's listening socket isn't accepting connections, or the client isn't running. So is the redswoosh.exe process running the task manager process list when this message is showing?
> AHHHH! > what does this mean! > ITS SO ANNOYING! > please help! > lost connection to red swoosh client.lost connection to red swoosh > client.lost connection to red swoosh client.lost connection to red > swoosh client.
lol yeah kinda yeahhh it shows that red swoosh is running in task manager idk if it helps but like when i open the tox torrent page the "lost connection to red swoosh client" kinda flickers on and off, then goes on and stays like that it shows the message while its running in task manager
> lol yeah kinda > yeahhh > it shows that red swoosh is running in task manager > idk if it helps but like > when i open the tox torrent page > the "lost connection to red swoosh client" kinda flickers on and off, then > goes on and stays like that > it shows the message while its running in task manager
Well I don't know about the download speeds, but the downloading of all my files has just completely stopped. I can't open download folder, download anymore torrents, or use like the music player for music files I already downloaded. So..... is there a way to fix this?

Well the UI looks like it's having trouble talking to the RedSwoosh client. Can you send any log files that are in C:\Program files\RSSoft\ ? i.e. RedSwoosh.log.

Looks like the RedSwoosh client is shutting down because it is using too much of your CPU. That could be a bug in the client, or it might even be just high activity on an older computer? Do you have an old computer?
Tom.

Is there any workaround for this error now? Anyway to keep RedSwoosh running until the client is fixed? Or is there an old client that can be downloaded?
