For a little while now, Tweeti--- I mean Twitter for iPhone, has some support for launching the Foursquare app via a custom URL. Was this URL scheme ever published anywhere? I'd like to incorporate it into something I'm working on... (and if there is a URL for launching to a user's profile that'd be nice too!)

...
foursquare://venue/Y?callback=myapp://mycall/Z
So after a use checks in to the venue they can be returned to the
calling app via the provided custom url.
It may seem clunky at first, but it provides a level of dynamic access
to services where the user doesn't have to constantly authenticate for
their new apps. Just be sent to the appropriate app, do your business,
and be sent back.
I guess it would be more appropriate come multitasking.
why don't you just build checkin into your application?
we have an api for it: /v1/checkin
it will make for a much smoother flow
I just have a dream of apps talking to each other in smooth,
uninterrupted user experiences.
One day.
