I think for a starter app, this is all it would need, set everything
up on the computer and then start checking in as you go. come back
later and check progress, or go to m.foursquare.com
I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this but if any of the
developers want to tackle this small (i think) task I'll definitely do
some testing/feedback and when it's ready try get others using it.
Thanks for any help or comments.

anand is working on a winmo version (will have him follow up here)
we'll probably start tracking feedback, etc here:

Yes, a 4S WinMo app has been in the works for what feels like forever
now :) For some background, I first had a rudimentary app some time in
the summer of last year (http://www.artificialignorance.net/blog/
windows-mobile/foursquare-natively-on-windows-mobile-phone-you-
betcha/ ) It was beta tested a bit by a few of my friends, and that's
when I realized that I'm not as good a coder as I'd like to be, nor
did I have the time to keep up with fixing all the issues and adding
the requisite features.
That said, I have some very competent folks working on the app now -
and it's looking much better. We think we'll have a version out for
beta testers in the next few weeks (before month-end for sure) and via
the Marketplace soon after.
I really feel your frustration - trust me :) But, life's going to get
a lot better fairly soon.
I know some of you have contacted Naveen and I about wanting to work
on coding the project - that's also fair game. Once we have the first
cut built out, we have plans to work in an open-sourced fashion moving
forward.
Thanks for your patience, best,
