Hey thanks!

I couldn't get http://www.google.com/reader/atom/?output=json to work
(returns XML rather than JSON)
But https://www.google.com/reader/api/0/stream/contents/ works a charm!

Funny, I can't see any mention of /api/0/stream/contents/ on the pyrfeed
docs page, apart from your comment dated 2009! However googling turned up

which was helpful.
