March 19th Friends Meeting Reminder

Hello All,
This is a reminder for our Friends meeting this Monday, March 19th at the
Grousbeck Center at Perkins at 7:00. This meeting will be important to
attend in order to share your feedback on developing a maintenance plan
for the Watertown Riverfront. The maintenance plan will be a tentative
proposal to accompany the restoration plan that is being considered by the
DCR. This is our opportunity to create a plan that shows the investment of
the community in keeping this area well maintained throughout the year. We
are looking for ideas as well as some leadership to take charge on this
plan. Additionally, we will be discussing a fundraising plan to engage
more community members and businesses in the area to support the
restoration in hopes that action will take place sooner than later. I hope

Hi Jennifer,

I just wanted to say that we didn't get very far with our snow removal
planning with the DCR. I imagine they were not so motivated with the
warm weather and the few opportunities to check out the path-snow
situation. I tried to get some movement in anticipation that winter
could return next year, but to no avail. So I don't know that I need to
take up space at the meeting to give this report, but will if you think
people would like to know.
