Broken REST server during downtime

During today's downtime, the API correctly returns a 503 response code, but returns an HTML document rather than an XML REST message - which breaks the API library (at least the PHP one, although I should think it would break any XML reader!). I think this is the intermittent error I was trying to resolve with this patch (https://github.com/Fotolia/Fotolia-API/commit/66389af328d1e4581f1ca8d3cb77c3ae1d69a2e3#php/fotolia-api.php). I'd not installed this patch on our servers, but will do so on Monday. Hope it survives the weekend!
Can I ask Fotolia devs (or Olivier :-) to ensure that the API server always returns an XML doc? Thanks in advance.
