They have a special focus on students and there would be many
sessions catering towards students/newbies. Also many kde contributors
from India are students themselves, so it would be a great opportunity
not to be missed for anyone. Plan now itself. Chamba team might also
come down there.

One more reason why

Bangalore is also a nice city and those who haven't gone , should go
there for a visit. Have fun while you learn !
This reminds me of many students coming from Jaipur LUG all the way to
bangalore for foss.in apparently they are a bit sad that its the last
one, but they did tell me that they learned a lot and would love to
come back again !

You have to keep reminding your government that you don't get your
rights from them; you give them permission to rule, only so long as
they follow the rules: laws and constitution.
Two more blogs from KDE student contributors
"Oh and for the people who are very concerned about college
"placements", all the contribution to KDE SC made the interviewers go
crazy wink They never asked me technical questions, just asked me to
explain my KDE work (well except Google, they're just algorithm
addicts). So KDE gave me the practical experience that helped me a
lot."

"Guys and Gals , you just have to be there ! Heard of Google Summer of
Code ? Google Code-In ? We have a LOT of ex-GSoC ers attending the
Konf , come and meet them personally ! Also get to know about the
project that interests you ( a must for GSoC & GCI ) and there is no
better way than to get introduced by the people who actually develop
for the project !"
