I am Pravin Dahal (a.k.a. _khAttAm_), a Computer Engineering Student
from KEC, Dhapakhel. I have been a Linux user for quite some time now.
I first noticed Ubuntu in version 5.10 and liked it ever since. Now
I've been proudly running Ubuntu as the only OS in my computer, for a
couple of years.
I am new to this group. I have attended programs held by FOSSNepal but
I haven't been active in any of its routine activities due to various
reasons. But I have been a Free Software Enthusiast ever since I
learnt about it and will always be.
I joined the group only a couple of days back to let you all know
about a blog we launched recently. One of our friends, who is also a
student in another Engineering College, noticed that msdnnepal.com was
available (msdnnepal.net had been taken, of course, maybe by Microsoft
Unlimited Nepal Private Limited). So he thought it would be a good
idea to take it and he did. He also took technetnepal.com. He is an
active member of FOSSNepal and is involved in its activities. We
decided to make a site where we could express our personal views about
Microsoft's policy in Nepal and launched a blog.
Soon, Microsoft Nepal (let me address the companies involved like
that) got our attention and we heard about discussions going on there
regarding the site. If you didn't know, the Microsoft Student Network
is operated basically by people who try to get attention within the
Network by complaining about each other and these things happening
around. So, it was not difficult for them to find the people behind.
They have enlisted me, my friend Arun Poudyal and 2 unknown (who they
don't know till date, so I'm not mentioning here since it is a free
group and I'm sure there are some people here listening too so that
they can complain to their bosses and gain advantage :)) to be running
the site.
We never try to go personal while expressing our views and we have
tried to make the discussions there open and we accept every types of
comments. We reply to them as politely as possible only revealing the
facts and our views. However, the guys at Microsoft take it personally
and act accordingly. They are trying to defend Microsoft, but as we
all know, it is not possible by only expressing the facts. As the
facts (and our views) are bitter. So, they have started sort of
personal battle and are trying to attack us personally.

The user "MSDNNepal.COM Disliker Network user" is one who is operated
by Microsoft Nepal (we know this, since the IP they are posting from
belongs to Microsoft Unlimited Pvt. Limited) and he is trying to
attack personally as you can all see. It is hilarious they have taken
things to this limit (Unlimited Potential as they would call it :)).
But this is not just a funny scene anymore.
I'm interested in your views and suggestions for us on how we should
go on from here. We are willing to make corrections if you think we
have done any mistakes. We are also willing to take in volunteers to
post in msdnnepal.com, that is, if you think the blog should run
further.

you logging in to the admin pannel of your website...browsing the logs
of the person who threatened you and you highlight the IP who is
threatening you. Document in detail how the ip is associated with
Microsoft Unlimited Pvt. Limited as per your claim. Make a detailed
video of it all and keep it as an evidence for your own safety. I
would also suggest you to forward the evidence to Public Relation@
Microsoft if you want.
If possible download your logs and archive it in read-only form.
Present your evidence to the KEC management (if you want) and i will
make sure "Microsoft Nepal" is BAN out of KEC until a written apology.

And these guyz are not playing fair.
These guyz have been deleting whatever I write in their forums as I
have mentioned here:

Not only that, they have even reached my personal blog for a personal
attack:

There were more at my blog, but Akismet flagged it as spam and I
deleted them. Later I realized there were non-spam comments as such
but it was too late.
Since they are playing foul, I'm forced to react and I have made foul
comments to the posters at my blog (but I won't do it elsewhere). I've
even been posting in their forums whenever I get a chance to bash
their Products and Policies. They have deleted large number of my
posts and even their posts to hide their mistakes :D. But I haven't
stopped. Recently, I've come up with this post:

However it may seem like an honest question, it is not. I know they
will not allow the use of the OS for such development and testing and
I know that I can compile win binaries from Ubuntu (mingw) and testing
can be done by users.
With that post, not only I am letting the fellow newbies know what the
ELMS license is all about, but also letting them know options that
exist. And about the M$ people, they are basically screwed . They
can't answer "NO you can't use ELMS products for creating softwares to
sell" coz thats what I want and they can't answer "Yes" coz that is
against the license. So the best they can do is delete it.
Whoever wants to join the fight (from either side) are welcome. If you
are on this side, you can post things against their Products and
Policies in their forums (technetnepal.net and msdnnepal.net) and give
the mods some harsh time (at the same time, give the innocent ones who
have been caught up in the hype a food for thought). However, do not
use profanity and offence towards them personally. That way, they can
just ban you and people will read us as bad people. Instead play fair
(we don't need to play foul coz we are right anyways).

Lets give their moderators a pain in the a$$ by posting things against
their Products and Policies (in a nice way though, i.e. not attacking
them personally, not using foul words etc) in their forums. They will
delete them, but we can always keep screenshots for later :D. You guyz
