Traffic Alert: Digging and Hauling Soil on Fort Ord
Riding or walking on the paved roads near Fort Ord's Parker Flats area
and see truck traffic? The Army is digging up soil in the Impact Area
and trucking it to the Fort Ord landfill. The Army will be hauling
soils on certain sections of Barloy Canyon, Parker Flats Road and
Eucalyptus Road weekdays from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please be very
aware of this truck traffic which will continue through December 2012.
Special Attention for Cyclists: If you ride your bicycle in the
vicinity of the Bureau of Land Management Headquarters, please review
the attached map of the hauling route.
