RE: bob cat ran over right in front of me...

Devian,

I am very sorry to hear about this loss.  The old military roads were not
designed for high-speed travel and animals emerging from the brush so close
to the road can be taken by surprise.  Those same cars are a risk to the
cycling and walking public as well for the very same reason.

We are not great stewards of our planet.  The kin of that bob cat as well as
the mountain lion recently seen near Gigling will be loosing more and more
of their habitat in Fort Ord as our development continues to sprawl out over
this beautiful land.  The flora and fauna of the planet don't vote but you
do.  The answer to what can be done is: become politically active and
involved in land use policy.

Subject: bob cat ran over right in front of me...

I am totally disgusted

just 20 minutes ago, I was video-ing a beautiful bob cat

when a white Cadillac Escalade ran it over.

this happened on South Boundry road very near to Ryan Ranch.

an absolutely beautiful bob cat, and some one runs it over right infront of
my eyes.

i have it all on video, and maybe there is a license plate number, but what
does that do?

its totally gross, and i feel a total lack of respect for wildlife.

there i was, riding my bicycle, and i see these bob cats.  yes...there were
2.

one was up the road more and it ducked intot he bushes before i could get
good video.

but the 2nd i got plenty video of...

i was at a stop, video-ing this beautiful bob cat, and someone in a car
drives by, and runs it over.

disgusting!

what can be done about this kind of stuff.

in many ways i feel that the road should be closed off.

disgusted with people and their cars...
