Lion Deer Kill?

Went riding on Thursday 2/7 with a friend. On Machine Gun Flats near
the intersection of trail 56 was a large severed deer leg sitting in
the middle of the trail and what appear to be cat prints adjacent. The
rest of the animal carcass was not readily visible.
It was a pretty large leg so I'm not sure what other animal could do
this. Did anyone else see this?

It was about 4:30 pm. We saw it on the way out to trail 50 and also on
the way back at about 5:00 pm.
It probably wasn't long until other animals got to it...
