Thanks for the report -- I'll look into this issue. Are you seeing
this on Chrome or Firefox?

Mine is also incorrect. I'm using Chrome 4.0.266.0. This is Friday but
Forecastfox thinks it's this past Wednesday. I don't close my browser
at night, I just put my laptop into hibernation. I'm wondering if the
day only changes when the browser is restarted? I didn't try it before
posting this.

Wish I could edit this. I just restarted Chrome and now the date is
correct. I'd much prefer it to switch with the computer clock/
calendar. And is there a way to put the date on the days? Now, Today,
Tomorrow...it's difficult to tell when glancing at it if you really
are on the correct day.

Thanks!

just two questions...

1 I tried to open this thread before, but I could post on this list
only answers and I cannot open new discussion
anyway

2 Could this issue be related with accuweather server? because the
server also shows the wrong current day
I'll report my ticket here:
http://ensolis.com/projects/forecastfox/ticket/157
forecastfox doesn't show the right day

Version: 0.9.9.1 OS: Windows XP SP2-SP3, Windows Vista / Vista SP1,
Windows 7, Ubuntu linux 9.10

This bus seems to be on accuWeather server.

look this: http://www.accuweather.com/world-forecast.asp?partner=forecastfox&zipcode=EUR|IT|IT012|TORINO|&metric=1

Accuweather says

Currently at 12:28PM More Details Mostly Cloudy

Mostly Cloudy RealFeel®:7 °C Temp: 5 °C

Saturday, Dec 5 More Details/AccuPop™ Partly Sunny Partly sunny. Winds
will be light and variable Realfeel®: 11 °C

The prolem is that "currently" is already "saturday"!

please see this screenshot

from AccuWeather

@nightmusic: Could you try not hibernating your computer and see if Forecastfox correctly updates? This will tell us if its an Chrome issue triggered by hibernation. What OS are you using?

@Gianfranco: I don't understand exactly... in your example what was the current day and time at the location? You say that currently is already saturday, but what should it have been in your example? Is AccuWeather consistently off by the same amount of time for Torino, or is this an intermittent issue?

Thanks

@jon
look this:
when I took the screenshot were saturday
http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/4978/forecastfox.png
now: saturday
tomorrow: sunday

but forecastfox says
now: nebbia, 10°c
tomorrow: saturday: 16°c.

I took this screenshot on saturday!

Please look this other screenshot taken on "saturday" 12/05/09

We released a new version on Chrome that solves some of the updating issues. Can you let me know if it fixes this issue or if this is something else?

As for the Firefox version, we won't be able to fix that until we port the new Google Chrome version back to Firefox. That should happen soon!

Hi Jon
Seems to be the problem appear only on saturday morning...

I'll tell you sunday or saturday evening if the problem is still here or not..
OT
Anyway I seen a little typo in the italiano translation of forecastfox
(chrome version)...

In the menu there is a &Estensioni... Seems to be a "&" that shouldn't appear...
Do you need help in the italian translation?

Nice- let me know if the problem reappears.

Yes, we are looking for translators. Would you be willing to help out with Italian? I can add you to our list!

@Jon.

A good news and a bad one!

The good one is: the bug on chrome seems to be fixed (on firefox I see
the behavior and on chrome no)

The bad one is: I found another bug only on the chrome version... (I
know, I always complain about bugs... )
(Sorry I cannot open a new discussion)
Step to reproduce:
Install forecastfox on chrome 4.0.295.0 dev
Options, remove the default location and type "bene vagienna" (italy)
(bene vagienna should be the ONLY ONE)
Go again to options. The extensions says you "You're currently viewing
weather for Boston, MA"
But it shows the weather from Bene Vagienna... (if you search for bene
vagienna again it change Boston with bene vagienna, but the next time
is still Boston)
If you type Turin (Italy) it works!

Gianfranco
