We ask that any members who have outstanding membership fees owing, please have them in by the end of January. If you experience any problems in this dept. see John or Louise and we shall make arrangements.

Also, we would like to collect sheet music that we are no longer using, so if you could bring it along the next 2 sessions, we will gladly take them off your hands.

Volunteers are now required to sign-up for Casino. Alberta Liquor and Gaming need to have the forms in well before the actual Casino dates which are March 8 & 9. I will distribute these this week. We need to cover 4 shifts in total.
Positions to fill each shift are:
General Manager
Banker
Cashier
Chip Runner
Count Room Supervisor (evening shift)
Count Room Staff
(evening shift)

GM, Cashier, Banker and Cashier work in the " Cash Cage" during the shift.
Chip Runners work the floor area.
All positions are relatively easy to do. Volunteers cannot double up on jobs, so it is essential that we have the correct number of bodies per shift.

A copy of the Casino Handbook can be found here:
http://aglc.ca/pdf/handbooks/casino_terms_and_conditions.pdf

Sections 3.3 onwards lists the duties of each position. We suggest you read these over so you can best make a choice as to what position you would best be suited for. As we have indicted and have done so in the past, the Casino is the FMS main means of fund raising for our activities. Without this funding it would be very difficult to raise the funds we need to purchase music, buy instruments and supplies, advertise and carry out the FMS mandate. Casino volunteering is actually a lot of fun and a great opportunity to spend some time with other members.

The Cochrane Music Society would like to do a joint concert with the FMS this coming March. The date will be Sunday March 20th sometime in the afternoon. Following the concert we will have the opportunity to do a mix and mingle somewhere in Okotoks. More details to follow.

Performances and concerts of note are always welcome.
