We are Growing by Rows and Acres!!

 

To strengthen organizational capacity and outreach, ILFF&J Seeks immediately:

                        Network Organizer (Human Capitol that is)

Our Grass-top Network Connections are in need of TLC! State-wide organizing of human power!

                      Web & Social Media Manager

To assist our Directors with building and maintaining the ILFF&J website & Social Media accounts

 

These are short –term volunteer positions, but excellent opportunities to be a part of the living web developing across the state in Local Foods. You will work directly with Council Directors, Working Groups and key Players in the Local Foods Movement and Systems Development work (see our mission below). As well, you get to present your work at our Springfield meeting this June! Our current Graduate & Undergraduate Interns hale from UIC (Champaign & Chicago)

Inquire by April 5^th. Internship begins April 15^th. Great for resume’s!

The purpose of the Local Food, Farms, and Jobs Council shall be to facilitate the growth of an Illinois-based local farm and food product economy that revitalizes rural and urban communities, promotes healthy eating with access to fresh foods, creates jobs, ensures a readily available supply of safe food in an emergency event, and supports economic growth through making local farm or food products available to all Illinois citizens.
