Welcome foodies to our care package exchange group.

This is a group for foodies from all over the world who wish to be matched up with other foodies to exchange local food related items in the form of a 'care package'.

How did it start? I did it with a foodie blogger in Texas and I wrote a blog about it. Louise from Felice in the Kitchen saw the blog and loved the idea so much she decided to create a way for those interested to share this experience. She got quite a response and with some idea exchanges it was decided this may be the best platform to manage and organize it all.

We are new so we need a bit of time to figure out how it will all work and fix the kinks along the way...but so far here is the gist:

Everyone is on their own to contact a fellow member for an exchange right now. Once a full exchange is successful it would be cool for those who want to post all the links on their site. Great way to help each other out with traffic.

The care package: items should be limited to about $10.00 in cost and be safe to mail! Shipping is extra and is the senders responsibility. No money requests permitted.

What to do when you join:

1. Write where you come from and what products you think you could offer in the  What Goodies Have You and Our very first exchange pages. Just to give other members an idea.
2. If you write a blog about what you received please add the link here:  Care Package Blog Posts
3. If you like write a blog about us to spread the word and  click here to add a badge to your site
4. Don't forget to update your profile to let us know what you would like to receive and what you have to offer - or any allergies you may have. If there are mailing restrictions in your home town, please let us know!
