Dave Shishkoff's Fundraiser:   The Friends of Animals Race to Save Marine Animals   BENEFITING: Friends of Animals, Inc. EVENT DATE: Jun 01, 2012 DEADLINE TO GIVE: Jun 01, 2012 HERE'S THE STORY: We're raising funds to assist Friends of Animals' Marine Animal Rescue(MAR) team help save approximately 400 or more whales, dolphins, seals, sea lions and sea birds each year in Los Angeles County.  These marine animals are often harmed because of the fish trade -- entangled in gill netting, ropes or injured by hooks.  MAR has a 24-hour hotline for marine animal rescues and operates every day of the year. The goal is to raise $1,000 to expand the rescues, and help pay for needed equipment.
