Subject: Converting 2D vectors to 3D
Hi All,
i was wondering if there was any way of taking a 2D polygon dataset
and converting this to a 3D one, based on heights obtained from an
underlying grid or TIN?  There is something similar to what i want to
do in ESRI ArcGIS, this is the Interpolate shape tool.  However, as
well as adding the z attribute to the geometry at the already existing
vertices it densifies the feature based on the grid cell size, not
quite what i'm after.  Any ideas?

Thanks

Dave

The SurfaceDraper or SurfaceModeller will do the actual draping, but I
think they will densify the feature to make it conform the terrain model.
