Subject: Running batch files using old versions of FME

Dear listers
We are in the process of upgrading from FME 2011 SP2 to 2012 SP2.
Unfortunately, some of our batch runs are failing when writting to
Intergraph SQL Server. I would very much like my batch files to continue
running on the old 2011 version, until I have figured out whats wrong. Any
of you knowing how to define which version the Batch files should use when
executing?
Best wishes
Reno Lindberg

Hi Reno,

I had the curious case of creating a batch ws on FME2012 with FME2011
still installed on my machine, according to safe you can define the
version in the tcl file.

"If your batch script contains only

fme "R:\Case\C61000\C61076\20120619\batchtest.tcl"

then I would modify it by specifying the path, e.g.

c:\apps\FME_12138\fme "R:\Case\C61000\C61076\20120619\batchtest.tcl" "

I haven't tried it myself, i just uninstalled FME2011, but it should
work.
Hope this helps,

Itay
