Gordon Van Der Spuy has received a terrific response from Jhb fly tyers to his suggestion that he conduct an intensive two day fly tying workshop. Indeed such has been the response there that he is conducting two workshops in Jhb, one for beginners and another for intermediates and advanced tiers. Gordon you may recall is the producer of the fly tying instructional video Fundamentals Fly Tying as well as being a tier of extraordinary ability. We will need to cover the cost of his flight and tying materials if we areto run a workshop in Durban. We are thus looking at a cost of R200.00 for each of the at least ten tiers we are looking for. Cost will go down if numbers increase. The workshop would start Friday night and end Saturday afternoon and would focus on tying techniques. The idea is to hold it at the Westville library in June. Please let me know if you would be interested in attending such a workshop and if so whether you would like the instruction to be directed at the beginner tier or at an intermediate and advanced level?
