Hi,

Is it possible to add multitouch gestures support for Fluid apps? I
really miss the ability to forward/backward by swiping three fingers
right/left. It is the standard behavior in Safari, so I think to keep
the experience consistent it might be a good idea to add it in Fluid
apps too? Thanks very much!

Best,
Rio

Yes, I really want this also. I'm close to giving up on Fluid because
of the lack of the three finger swipe, which is becoming second nature
to me.

You can use multiclutch to add gestures to any applications, which
I've done for my Fluid apps, and it works fine:

It's a lot more customizable too rather than being stuck with whatever
options Safari uses.

Thank you PrashantV. I've been looking for a way to use gestures in
Fluid apps and totally forgot I had multiclutch installed already.

BetterTouchTool is the answer. http://blog.boastr.net/

It's a fork of MultiClutch that lets you map keyboard shortcuts to
trackpad gestures, including three and four finger swipes, rotate,
zoom, and three finger taps.

Unlike MultiClutch it's not an input manager/SIMBL hack, and it works
with menu bar apps.

So the key is knowing the Fluid keyboard shortcut and mapping that to
a gesture. For my instapaper SSB, I've got Next and Previous tabs
mapped to three finger left and right swipes, and I open my
browsabrowsa sidebar using rotate left.

I def want to add multitouch to Fluid/Cruz.

I looked into Apple's multi-touch APIs last night. Looks like the
offical ones are Snow Leopard only. So I won't be adding this in the
next version, because there's lots of good stuff for Leopard as well
as Snow Leopard that needs to be pushed out.

But after that, I may start thinking about a Snow Leopard only future
for Fluid/Cruz which will include this...

I'm pretty sure that MultiClutch, which BetterTouchTool is building
off of, is open source. Maybe you can repurpose that code for Fluid?
(Multiclutch worked great on Leopard. And the beta of Rhino modeler
for Mac has had multitouch gestures since Leopard).

Hi Todd,

Are you still planning to integrate this in a new release? I would love to use my multi-touch devices inside my Fluid apps.
