I've run into behavior in a browsabrowsa session that I could use some
input on.
I have a main window in my Fluid SSB and one browsa panel which is set
to show the list of the tweets from people I am following.
I would like all links in either window to open in my default browser,
Safari.
This appears to work for all links except for any link [shortened or
NOT] in individual tweets. When you click on these links, the URL does
open in the default browser, however a blank tab is opened in the mail
SSB panel.

I've tried the Choosy OS X control panel to beat this, but the
behavior remains the same. You keep getting blank tabs in the main
Fluid SSB panel for each URL in a tweet you click in the browsa panel.
If you click on the link for the poster of the tweet in the browsa
panel, the URL opens correctly in Safari withOUT the blank tab.

Thanks in advance for any ideas,

Dave

hi dave,

have you changed the preference in the Browsa Plugin's Prefs pane?

"Clicked links open in: "

select:

"system default browser"

hopefully that will work.

Hi Todd,

Thanks for your reply and idea.

Yes the Browsa plugin pref is set to open links in default browser.

Below are two examples. the first example caused the BLANK tab to
appear in the mail Fluid window, the second example does NOT cause the
BLANK tab. Both open the the URL in the default browser, it just the
BLANK tab difference. The difference in the HTTP code below is the 1st
[with the issues] include the 'target' parameter. For complete-ness of
my example, I have include a third example. This one also caused the
BLANK tab, but has a regular URL not a shortened one.

Caused blank tab in Fluid:
<a href="http://bit.ly/2XeEvc" class="tweet-url web" rel="nofollow"
target="_blank">http://bit.ly/2XeEvc</a>

Does NOT cause blank tab in Fluid:
<a href="http://twitter.com/imadnaffa" class="tweet-url screen-name"
title="Imad Naffa">imadnaffa</a>

caused blank tab in Fluid:
<a href="http://mashable.com/owa" class="tweet-url web" rel="nofollow"
target="_blank">http://mashable.com/owa</a>
