Hi! Is it possible to set Fluid/Google Reader up to handel the feed subscription? I know of course how I make Fluid/Google Reader the default RSS reader/handler in Safari (or Mail) but when I click on a feed link or the blue RSS button in Safari's URL bar Fluid just complains: "Infinite Loop Detected / This Fluid SSB cannot open the requested URL." (see attached screenshot)

Is there any fix for this?

Thanks!

I'm getting this but only recently. It used to work fine.

If I quit "reader" and click the rss it reopens "reader" and it will
work that way.

If I switch to allowing browsing to all links that also works but then
clicking links won't open in safari.

Quite annoying, seems like a regression, can we get someone to look at
this?

this is a new "feature" in Fluid 0.9.5 that prevents infinite loops (BAD!) in some cases. apparently, I've also broken feed subscription for SSBs which are the default RSS reader. I will address this in the next version.

sorry,

A bit of messing around revealed that you just need to add these two
URL patterns to your Reader.app's browsable locations:

feed://*
*fusion.google.com*

So in your Reader.app it's in Preferences... > Advanced

thanks for the tip chris. this is correct. i am also adding these to
the default 'special cases' that fluid ships with for Google Reader.
(but that wont help you if you update a previously-created Reader SSB)

if you have an existing Reader ssb, you should follow Chris' advice to
fix the issue. if for some reason that doesnt work, watch the URL bar
very closely... you may be redirected thru some other google subdomain
besides "fusion".

if you want to guarantee this to work, you can add:

*google.com*

but now when you browse to any google site (say, maps or search), you
will not be defered to the system default browser (As you may wish to
be)

thx again chris!
