I have a Google Apps SSB which opens http://mail.google.com/a/my.site.com
in the first tab, and the equivalent calendar URL in the next tab.
Whenever I click an external link in mail, a third tab opens briefly,
and is then closed, leaving the calendar in the foreground. It would
be better if the tab which opened the external link was remembered,
and switched back to after closing the extra tab.

Cheers,

Ben

hi ben,

just ignore that. it's a feature not a bug. the Google apps use a cheesy JS popup script that would otherwise spawn a useless and annoying blank window anytime you click a link and were ejected to the system default browser. This is fluid's way of helpfully cleaning up the mess for you.

Perhaps I didn't explain very well. What happens is:

* I am in the Gmail tab (#1)
* I click an external link
* The link opens correctly
* A blank tab opens and closes quickly
* I am now in the Google calendar tab (#2)

This doesn't seem like intended behaviour to me

oic. now that *is* an issue. This would be fixed if i were to
implement 'smart tabs' in all SSBs. in other words, whenever you close
a tab, you are taken to the last tab viewed before that... rather than
the previous tab in the list.
