I've downloaded DrawFBP and JavaFBP and enjoying myself as I figure it
all out.

It is a nice simple set of components and a elegant engine, so the
discovery process is very enjoyable.

Does there exist a practical tutorial and developer documentation for
the Java programmer who just wants to get started?

If there isn't I'd like to start writing some.

Hi Ged, Welcome to the group! As far as I know there isn't really a
tutorial, although way back in the mists of time Robbie Kemeny and I
developed a course on the first implementation (AMPS) - it's probably
somewhere deep in the catacombs... It would be great if you could
develop one! Bob (who I believe is on the same side of the pond)
might also have some thoughts on this, as he seems to be methodically
working through the book.

BTW Bob thanks for the new components - can we add them to the
official set?

Regards,

Paul

Paul,

Would you like me to post the documentation onto my own site or onto
the FBPWiki?

If you would like me to update the FBPWiki could you send me some
access details?

Thanks,

Ged

Hi Ged,

As far as I'm concerned, your own site would probably be fine! It's
probably easier for you - if you just send us the URL, we can look in
from time to time!

Another possibility is the phpBB -
http://www.jpaulmorrison.com/phpbb/index.php - that is topic-oriented,
so might work... Another possibility is the FBP Wikidot (?) -
http://flowbased.org/start - but that doesn't seem to have been
maintained since last April - anyone know what its status is?

Bob, any thoughts?

Regards,

Paul
