How recently did you update?  The introduction of retina display support temporarily introduced a bug on IE, but I fixed it on July 25.

I did a quick test on IE8, and don't see any problems.  What error is it logging?

But since this time the lines, and pie elements are not rendered anymore in IE8.
The labels are displayed. In Firefox all elements are displayyed fine.

Is this a Bug or is IE8 not supported anymore?

I just update the Version for the Struts2 jQuery Chart Tag and step into this
while try out Is the Showcase still is working for IE.

To verify that this Bug still exists, I just download the latest development version again today and try out the Pie Example.
The Problem still exists. I got following Mesage in my IE8 JavaScript Console

'window.G_vmlCanvasManager' ist Null oder kein Objekt

Thank you for the support

Are you sure you haven't made any other changes, possibly to the way you use excanvas?  Have you tried clearing your cache?

This is exactly the error that I was referring to, but it has been fixed.

I'll continue testing, but so far I can't reproduce this, which is why I think it may be a local issue, perhaps due to old code in your cache.

Actually, never mind; I may have just found it.  Let me take a look at this...

Any updates on this? This IE8 Bug is a blocker for my project.

Thanks anyway

I don't know if this will solve it for you, but if nobody comes up
with a better suggestion you could try switching from excanvas to
flashcanvas for IE 8 and below.

I've been away at a conference, and won't be back until the middle of the week, but I'm aiming to pull in a fix by the end of the week.

Until Win7 is out of support, many companies and users has IE8 as the default browser.
So this is not an option.

Yes, just try it today with IE8 and it works.
Do you have cleared your caches?

Hum... I have placed again github files and cleared cache. Error disapper but the chart is not displayed.
Actually I have made a function to display tooltips hover bar graph. Tooltips are displayed when mouse is over a bar but bars and the grid are not displayed. (ex: http://vin.vitiplace.com/chateauneuf-du-pape/mas-saint-louis-chateauneuf-du-pape-10340.php#avis)

I'm under IE9 (with developper tools) on Windows 7 and I use jQuery 1.6.2.

I visited your page using IE9 (and 7 & 8) plus a couple of other browsers, and the bar chart shows up just fine.

Can anyone else confirm any problems with the latest master?

Your example works for me on windows 7 32 bit with internet explorer 9.
tested in ie7, ie8 and ie9 modes using the dev tools, and worked on all three.

If you bring up the IE dev tools, what browser mode are you using?  Is it actually IE9 Standards, or one of the others?

Sorry for my late reply.
Strangly everything is fine now and I don't know why.

It could be cache but I have tested my exemple after installing ie9 on a computer. Maybe it was Document Mode in developer toolbar but after some changes, problem isn't appear again.

I'm sorry to disturbed you. And thank you for your help (and your work).
