SCVS (Space Coast Velo Sport) 2008 Winter Time Trial

Hey Florida Freewheelers! My name is Gary Stern and I am a good
friend of Tom B's (your Presidente). I am writing to inform you of an
awesome opportunity to do a race against the clock, both individually
as well as together as a team.

On Saturday, February 2nd at 8:30 am is the 1st Annual SCVS 2008
Winter Time Trial in Deer Park, FL (between Orlando & Melbourne).
This is a USCF sanctioned event as well as a Florida Point Series
(FPS) event. There is a 10k & 20k INDIVIDUAL (FPS points awarded for
20k only) and a 20k TEAM Time Trial with multiple categories of
racing: Men Cat 1/2, Cat 3, Cat 4, Cat 5, Master's 35-44, 45-54, 55+,
Women Cat 1-3, Cat 4, and Juniors. There are CASH awards for all
categories except Cat 5 and Juniors (medals).

As stated, there is a TEAM time trial consisting of 2-6 riders racing
together against the clock. What a cool way to spend the day with
your friends working together toward a common goal. The riders are
scored on the 1st two racers across the line although ALL riders have
to eventually cross the line.

There is NO day of race registration and the mail-in deadline is
already gone. Register online until 1/30/08 at:

Hey Everyone;

Don't forget to sign up for this Time Trial. It's a lot of fun and
gives you an idea of your fitness because you are riding by yourself
against the clock. The SCVS guys and gals are great group of folks
and they support our Horrible Hundred in numbers every year. So sign
up and return the favor.

Sarah, give it a try - and capture another podium to add to your win
at Buckhill! this one will be a lot flatter.

I will be there doing the team time trial (TTT) with Glory Racing.
