Mark your calendars!

Friday, July 4th, Team Armada is hosting a social/benefit ride in
Ocoee, a.k.a. the Disney Ride.

The purpose of this benefit ride is to help raise funds for Junior
riders for their trip to participate in the Tour de l'Abitibi, July
25-29 in Val-d'Or, Quebec, Canada. Will Willis will be one of the
Central Florida representatives, along with Jimmy Page of Inverness.

Everyone will meet at the Super WalMart parking lot, 10500 West
Colonial Drive, Ocoee (across from Health Central) at 7:30 AM. They
plan to roll out at 8:00 AM. After the ride everyone will hang out at
Starbucks for about an hour to relax and cool down.

Bring plenty of fluids, some cash in case we make a pit stop, basic
tools and at least one tube.

As a benefit, your cash donation would be appreciated. Whether you can
contribute only $5 or $100 is not important; showing your support is
what counts. So bring your contribution the morning of the event (cash
or check). If you prefer to use your credit card, please go to
http://www.BikeReg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=6803.

Pace will be in the 18-22 MPH range and adequate paceline skills are
required.

We hope to see some Freewheelers/Flamingos out there with us
tomorrow. We have an opportunity to take part in securing the future
of competitive cycling by helping these kids take advantage of a great
opportunity. Please join us.
Please note: The ride will remain social throughout (strict 18-22mph)
and we will have plenty of Armada guys present to set the pace for the
group.

Xman,

I am sorry that we won't be able to support the ride en masse tomorrow
since we have our picnic planned every year on the 4th. Let's try to
coordinate next time to do this together because it would provide for
a great ride and picnic afterwards as well as a chance for the
Freewheelers to interact with Team Armada and other cyclists in the
area.

Good luck with this ride and the crit in East Orlando.

Tom,

don't feel bad. And I encourage you and all FFW to contribute in order
to help these kids, and you don't have to ride with us to do so. We've
set up a BikeReg.com page for people who want to help to be able to do
so from home with their credit card. Go to http://www.bikereg.com/events/register.asp?eventid=6803

On behalf of Will and Alex,

THANK YOU!

A big THANK YOU to all the Flamingos who joined us for the July 4th
Benefit Ride. Between the social ride and the training crit, we raised
over $700 for Florida Velo Development Team junior rider Will Willis,
who is travelling to Canada this month—along with other Central
Florida riders—to compete in the famous Tour de l'Abitibi.

On behalf of Will, his dad Henry Willis, and all of us at Team Armada,
THANK YOU for your support.

Henry and Will were unable to join us for the ride on Friday since
Henry was hit by a car earlier in the week. He was dragged over 25
feet until being "ejected" right in front of a fire station. He's
bruised but fine otherwise, and he was able to ride his bike over to
the crit to help officiate the event. As an USAC official, Henry gives
generously of his time to help with cycling events, so we are happy to
"return the favor" by helping his son Will to go to Canada to race.

If you were unable to attend either one of our events but would like
to contribute, you can still do so. Mail your check payable to Henry
Willis (Will's dad) to:

HENRY WILLIS
3021 PEEL AVE
ORLANDO FL 32806-5742

Thanks!

Armada Luis
