Hi,

I'm having trouble with the Publishing Solutions route to export an
Open Office version of the dictionary. When I click 'Run Checked
Utility', I get this message:

An error occurred while exporting your data. This could be the result
of an error in an FXT file, an output file that is locked, or a bug in
the FieldWorks code. There was an error processing this fragment.
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
<seq field= “AllComplexFormEntryBackRefs” layout=
“publishRootComplexForm” targetclass= “LexEntryRef” />

As I don't even understand how I found or installed the plugin, I have
no idea what this message is trying to tell me, except that something
is wrong with my complex forms...any ideas?

Thanks!!

I get the same error when I try to export a configured filtered lexicon
from FLEx File>Export. It happens with the .xhtml and .xml export
formats. (I didn't test them all.) I'm using Flex version 3.0.0.40087
dated Oct 1 2009.

Lynnika,

Can you tell me which version of FieldWorks you are using? I think
this is a compatibility error. I am guessing you need to install the
latest version of FieldWorks.

As an alternative, you can switch to the Configured Dictionary View
and then use File : Export : XHTML to create a file and then use the
stand alone application Start : PublishingSolution. Once it launches
use File : New and supply the name of the exported XHTML file. You can
continue processing from there if you have Flex 5.4.1. (Versions
before 5.4.1 have no XHTML export option).

Greg,

I am getting the same message when I use root-based option. It works fine with the stem-based option.

Hi Greg,

I recently upgraded to v. 6, so the version shouldn't be the problem.
I would be happy to use the stand-alone, but I'm not sure where I get
it...can you explain for a very technically challenged linguist? (To
this day, I am not even sure how I found or installed the Pub.
Solutions plug-in, b/c when I looked for it on sil.org I could never
find it, and whatever I did involved some torturous non-obvious [to
me] process.)

Thanks a lot!!

I have posted the root based export issue as LT-10361 and am hoping it
can be fixed in the Fieldworks 6.0.1 release in January.
