We are continuing our HTML5 101 series this week with an introduction to the Canvas tag. We will start with the basics, explain the core concepts and show off the cool things that can be done with it. The canvas tag is a way to draw lines and fills, manipulate pixels within images and render text. We will be sure to go over all of this an much more.
Our meeting space costs $36 dollars per meeting, if you value our meetings please make a contribution. http://bit.ly/zRAXP2 100% of the funds will go to pay for our rental costs. If everyone chips in a little we'll be all set. As always all meeting are open to everyone and there is no obligation to make a donation in order to attend. In fact, if you want to make a donation and not show up, that's ok with us!
I mentioned during the meeting last night that I'd found Lee Brimelow's free tutorial on the requestAnimationFrame API to be pretty useful. Here's a link:
