passing this on:
"Howdy my crafty NYC friends,

I've already spoken to some of you about this but GameDesk<http://www.gamedesk.org/>,
a great L.A. based organization is creating a showcase gallery called
"MakerTron" for the World Maker Faire 2012 in NYC<http://makerfaire.com/newyork/2012/index.html>.
(Sept 29th-30th). They are working closely with the faire and are planning
a great space full of fun projects - *and that's where you come in! **They
have a handful of grants, ranging from $250-$1500 (and includes a ticket
too!)*, to give to NYC makers who would like to show their work. Please
pass this along to any students and other groups that might be interested :)

*Check out the full PDF "Call for Submissions" here:*
http://bit.ly/MakerFaireNYCpdf

*And if you like the look of it, submit your idea here ASAP:*
http://bit.ly/MakerFaireNYC

*BONUS:* They're also looking for some east coast production help to make
this happen - and have a larger budget for that. So if you have contacts
that can setup and run events ping don...@gamedesk.org

Best regards,

Doug
