Hi all

I'm a recent mac convert but I've found when using the iSight for FLAR
applications there is a long delay between allowing access to the
camera and the webcam starting. Has anyone else experienced this
problem? If so what did you do to fix it.

Cheers

Jim

Just realised I didn't supply much info there.

It's the latest MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard. I've tried all
tested all cameras - DV Video, IIDC Firewire Video and USB Video
Class Video. I've tested it in Firefox and Safari

i have not seen this problem. you mean from the time the "allow"
button, there's a delay?
only thing i've seen is that it's often difficult to click the "allow"
button, takes multiple tries before flash player finally hears the
click.

have you tried testing a new project with nothing but a
Camera.getCamera() call, to isolate it from FLARToolkit/Manager?

I've tried a simple implementation and there wasn't a pause. I think
it might be to do with my addition to FLARManager. Maybe a couple of
cameras are being cycled through before the correct one id settled
upon. I'll have to test this tomorrow.
