thought it might be good to have a page pointing to good examples,
code, tutorials and such.

Click on http://groups.google.com/group/flartoolkit-userz/web/links?hl=en
- or copy & paste it into your browser's address bar if that doesn't
work.

I just added FLARToolKit own svn address, kinda funny there's no
sticky thread with this info or anything.

Hi All,

A video demo of the commercial AR API that I've been working on for
the last month was finally released by Zugara today. It uses motion
capture along with AR at the same time to allow user interaction while
they're away from the keyboard. In case you're wondering, the
application in the video is a screen capture of a live tech demo.
Hope you like it.

HI group!

That's an awesome page, excellent work.

What do you think about change the page name from "links" to "useful
links for beginners" or "basics for newbies" or "Read this before ask"
or somethig like that?

Or, do you think is better keep the name "Links" and create another
page with the "Read before ask" content? If you think is better
create another one I would love to do it.

The idea is to catch the sight of the new users whom are looking for
the basics and avoid to repeat the same basic questions.

links are links.

one possibility, rather than trying to rewrite things people have
already discussed, is to link to certain threads that explain things
clearly, be they bits about marker generation, x/y/z position,
lighting conditions, whatever. i think it's unlikely that new users
will necessarily know to look there, but it could be a good place to
which to point them when faced with questions that have already been
answered.

if we go that route, though, it would be nice to separate those linked
threads from external links. probably best to create a new page, and
put them there. call them "sticky threads"?

rez, if you want to create that page and dig thru the archives to
nominate some gems for inclusion, by all means, go to it!
thanks for helping out!

sure! It will be my pleasure.

Just one more thing: I'm not an expert on Flartookit, so if anybody
see errors or mistakes, please understand my limitations, I will thank
any fix :]

In my opinion, http://pv3d.org and its forum should be the goal of our
group.. that's why I've started arvertising.com/news

After reading all, your idea about one site is great with all the
respect Diego, and it's only my opinion, but I would like to see a
domain name non-related with marketing and advertising. Pure FLAR
content and non-commercial related.

Please, don't misunderstand me: I don't have nothing against companies
or business, I have my own company, but I would like to see separated
the community side from the brands-advert-marketing side.

So, I just bought the domain FLARTOOLKIT.ORG and I'm gonna install a
Drupal to create a collaborative site to document ALL related to
FLARtookit, Managers, Starter Guides and such things.

I'm not the owner of the domain: if some one has the right of this
name and he wants it, I will transfer the domain instantly, I just
wanted to pick the name before somebody out of the group does.

Of course: ALL of you are invited to administer, manage and create
content in the site.

As soon as I have the Drupal site ready I will post all the info
required to join the site.

Wish me luck :)

David. Esta super bacano! Cheers for that project. Nice use of
AR.

Just a side comment. The Julian Perretta video we made in May was
nominated to the UK video music awards under the innovation category.
Nice to see AR technology in this kind of events ;)
