Just 31 weeks until we rock the special interest casbah that Capitol
Hill has become...and we're hoping to save a bit of your money as we
work toward that common liberal and progressive horizon. In Florida,
there are two ways for a candidate for the U.S. House to secure ballot
access. One way is to simply pay the fee. Most candidates do that,
because they're awash in cash. The ballot access fee in Florida is
$10,440. Another way, is to collect, literally, thousands of petition
forms and submit them to the state, along with a different, smaller fee.
Either way, Florida's ballot access laws are Draconian by U.S.
standards. Nonetheless, with your help, we're going to secure ballot
access - and we're going to win this election.
