*GOP love ain't no modern love.
It's the kind of love that steals human rights...suppresses voters'
rights...women's rights...deconstructs public education, calling it
progress...denies LGBT rights...GOP love fauns over 'religion,' but
loathes cultural and religious diversity...GOP love short-changes
ecological and animal rights to thrive and prosper. GOP love
denies the working man and woman. It denies a better future to the
children of America, and calls it, 'family values.'
Democrats must reject GOP love at every turn where it celebrates
mob profit rule, and mocks socioeconomic justice. Democrats must
reject a GOP love that would destroy a civilization, if you let it. Such
a love is a warring love, and the world has seen it many times
before, survived it, and prospered after it, in the face of it.
GOP love is the kind of love that likes to start wars. Yes, some
Democrats like to practice GOP love, too -- and they should be
shunned for it.
Democrats can come together. Democrats can overcome the
metaphysical illness such a love represents.
We're liberal. We're progressive. And we are not going away.
We are going to lead America. We are going to make her live up to
her promise.
Together, we are going to stop the war on the promise of America.
