Two weeks ago, Floridians watched exclusive outtakes of the move Gerrymandering (to be released in theatres in October) at nearly 70 house parties across the state to support Amendments 5 & 6.
Now, the video is available for all to watch!
The footage focuses on how redistricting is used as an incumbent protection plan in Florida. It includes interviews with former Senator and Governor Bob Graham, FairDistrictsFlorida.org Campaign Chair Ellen Freidin and Democracia Ahora President and CEO Jorge Mursuli, among others. There are also great images to illustrate just how politicians redraw district lines to benefit themselves instead of protecting voters’ best interest.
