Never mind the Bacon entry - he's in another district now, due to redistricting. What's of import is the Mica/Adams/Ruiz trinity.

If I'm going to win this election - we have to face the bitter reality that whomever wins the primary election between Mica/Adams will be prepared to outspend my campaign by 100 to 1, or more. Not to mention the tsunami of corporate PAC cash that will make its way into the race. Moreover, I have a primary with a Teaparty Republican masquerading as a Blue Dog Democrat. Only in America! :-)

Reasonably, Florida voters know a scam when the see one. But let's not take anything for granted. We need your help to ensure we put this liberal, progressive, New Deal Democrat in Congress, and not any of the sordid alternatives. There are countless people on this list. If every single person puts $10 into our side - we'll have enough to get our message out and win. Why? Because the voters agree with us - they just have to know we exist.

I've been an avid surfer for nearly thirty years - surfed Atlantic hurricane storm surf in Florida, heavy Pacific groundswells in St. Clemente and Laguna Beach and everything between.

So I promise you, we will handle the Republican deluge.

But this is politics. And I need your buoyancy, flotation and spirit to drop in on this tempest we call Capitol Hill. It is our greatest challenge yet.

I know that only a limited number of our supporters can afford to do so - but please max out the campaign now at $2500, if you can.

For all of our other supporters, simply $10 from each person on this list will produce a Democratic deluge of our own.

Let's send a message to the Bill O'Reilly conservatives and representatives who think they are irreplaceable:

Oh, you don't know about us - to the left, to the left - we WILL replace you.
