We have exciting news to share -- yesterday the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced the first round of their top targeted campaigns and they've highlighted 5 exceptional Florida races that we need to win to take back the U.S. House of Representatives.
- Retired Orlando Police Chief Val Demings (FL-08) and Keith Fitzgerald (FL-13) and Florida's 22nd District -- home to extremist Republican Allen West -- have been selected to join the DCCC's competitive Red to Blue program. These campaigns will receive national support that, with your help, will turn these swing districts blue!
- Leonard Bembry (FL-02) has been selected as an Emerging Race, putting yet another critical Florida seat in play.
- Alan Grayson (FL-27) has been selected as one of only three candidates nationwide to join the Majority Makers, a select group who will help lead efforts to elect a Democratic majority in the House.
Also highlighted by Florida Dems is FL-25, where Rep. Luis Garcia continues to run a strong and aggressive campaign against embattled Congressman David Rivera, who continues to be shunned by his own party. Yesterday's announcement puts Florida in the top 3 states with the the most targeted districts, which means the path for Democrats to take back the House lies squarely through our state. We know how to win tough races -- we did it in Jacksonville and Tampa just last year. But we need your help.
