Which Orange County schools should be closed?

Florida NewsWire Group, After years of threatened budget cuts and uncertainty about their future, haven’t Orange County teachers and students been through enough? Not according to career politician Dan Webster. He said last week he wants to get rid of the stimulus package*, without which 5-8 Orange County schools could have been closed.** Hold Dan Webster accountable: Since he says he wants to roll back stimulus funding, shouldn’t he tell us which schools in Orange County he wants to close? The stimulus package passed early last year has kept thousands of Floridians off the unemployment line. Schools are open, teachers are educating our kids, police officers are on the street, and firefighters can respond in an emergency. If Dan Webster gets his way and eliminates the stimulus, thousands will lose their jobs, and our fragile economy will go into a tailspin. Webster’s rhetoric against the stimulus is wrong and irresponsible. Hold Dan Webster accountable: He says he wants to roll back stimulus funding.  He should say which schools in Orange County he wants to close. We shouldn’t be surprised. As a career politician for close to 30 years, Webster voted several times to slash funding for public education all the while sending his children to private schools. Don’t let Dan Webster get away with calling for an end to the stimulus and placing our schools, teachers and emergency services on the chopping block.
