I get quite a few stupid emails. Have kinda become used to it. Also
receive a lot of "non-Japanese-language-education-field" emails for
some reason. Today's really takes the biscuit.

"i have an idea for commercial showing a guy using an old toyota
truck like the kind with 22r motor and under it says toyota tough
from day 1 and 2nd to none showing a new truck passing the
competition on the road side i am a big fan of toyota i have an 81
4x4 22r longbed 1/2 ton pick up and it not the prettiest but ive out
done newer chevy and ford 6 cyls though i cant afford a new 1 i really
wouldn't give up my old 81 for anything and have converted many people
to the toyota family. my truck was stolen and i myself tracked it down
my love for my old toyota runs that deep this is the only truck i cant
kill ive also have kinda started a local thing call it a yota cause
it aint no toy just a regular guy giving the regular guy
opinion <name deleted> conway sc usa"

Rather than "Why" I am wondering exactly "What"? That is REALLY hard to parse with all the crappy grammar etc. in it.

Think of all of the villages deprived of a regular supply of idiots when
this person's ancestors left the Old Country.

That is increasingly common among the younger crowd. My friend teaches
high school English and struggles with that particular problem. It's
what happens when people who text all the time suddenly try to write a
real sentence.

Most of the emails & applications I receive are well written, which
makes sense since most of the students here are well educated. I do
get some rubbish from time to time though. A certain troll who
frequented this group wrote to me recently with

"My grades are kinda crappy. Roughly 2 years but failing. I am
thinking of studying in Japan, and getting my associates degree by
replacing
these grades. Am I still eligible? If so, I would to enroll in this
university ASAP"

I didn't get around to replying.
