Portraits are a family heirloom usually passed on for generations. A good
portrait can capture lifelike character attributes. Photographs simply can
not capture the personal essence that Val can in her portraits.

I am personally amazed at the portrait she painted of my 12 year old son,
outdoors in his baseball uniform with his bat & glove. Val's love of
children shows in her sculptures and portraits.
