Prims are *always* issue, even though we're nowhere near the 15,000p limit on any island. (or near the 13,000p number I start to itch at.)

If the art walk in NW ends up hosting the build, then whatever's not being used on that spot is the prim budget. (plus whatever others aren't using and willing to lend)

If someone volunteers their spot, then whatever they're not using is the prim budget. (plus whatever others aren't using and willing to lend)

Just keep in mind that if someone volunteers their parcel and the group wants this listed in the Destination Guide, you'll need to set the landing spot for the parcel to the build. However, after the Sexy Vampy Gothy Fun screwup by Blondin last year and the double-screwup on the Clocktree, I'm averse to associating with the Destination Guide for anything. (I don't list 100WS readings there anymore because someone mistook that as a request to add the park to the guide, and a glitch at the Lab caused it to be the first listing for several days - newbie flood!)

If prims are not an issue, perhaps C and I can have the evil labortory reinstalled on a platfom and then perhaps we can put a teleporter up there elsewhere to direct visitors there???

That was fun last year!  I like the Edloe location - and have some mediocre Halloween stuff I can add to the festivities.

Howdy, y'all! Welcome to the new Five Islands Google Group!

We're still five people short on the list, but they can join in on the discussion when they get here. Or they can go WTF when their homes get volunteered for various projects.

Speaking of which, the first topic for discussion/decision-making is a community Halloween build.

The big question is, as with all real estate matters: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION?

Last year, West Piper Point was available for a while, so we all threw together a creepy and scary haunted house up there. But now, the Five Islands are fully occupied.

One possibility is Northwest Edloe. Not only would it be a wide open area for plenty of the creepy-scary, but it would give everyone an opportunity to pick up art that's been there for a few months and come up with a new layout/assortment when the Halloween Season is over? (Plus, Rocky and Jane used to put up haunted houses there every year, so it's got a base level of unbridled psychic energy in the terraforming.)

A haunted mansion on top of the mountain on Northeast Edloe could work. (Raz had his mansion up there before, and there was a bit of creepy-scary in there all those years.)

Another possibility would be a haunted galleon in the middle of Nowhereville, Piper Point, or Isis Cove. (Although I wouldn't blame folks for being burnt out after the brutal and exhausting Talk Like A Pirate Day.)

Or are any of y'all up to volunteering your homes and hideaways for some Devil's Night vandalism?

              Other questions:
               - Theme?
               - Scripting/animation limit?
               - Do we want to put the build in whatever Destination Guide category the Labbies make for Halloween? (Assuming they make one like they did for SL9B and Winter and other recent community events)

Floor's open, let's see how this goes.

              Thanks,
